
Duncan Baker – Non-executive Director
Duncan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005. Following a successful career as Finance and Systems Director of the CT Baker Group in Holt, he was elected as the Member of Parliament for North Norfolk in 2019.
After leaving Parliament, Duncaan briefly joined the Alan Boswell Group, qualifying as a financial planner, before being appointed Chief Financial & Operating Officer (CFO & COO) of Brineflow Ltd, the UK’s fastest-growing chemicals and liquid fertiliser business.
During his time in Parliament, Duncan worked with four Secretaries of State and served on the Environmental Audit Select Committee, where he received a Parliamentary award for championing dark skies and Norfolk’s native glow-worm!
Duncan is recognised for his Ukrainian humanitarian work. Closer to home, since 2020 he has raised more than £120,000 for 75 local charities by running marathons.
In his spare time, he co-hosts the popular political podcast Two Mates, No Mandates, discussing the week’s political events with guests from across the political spectrum.
Duncan has deep roots in Great Yarmouth. His grandmother lived at the Alma Tavern on Albion Road, and his grandparents were married at Great Yarmouth Minster in 1942.
He is married to Nina, a partner at accountants Berry & Warren, and has two children, Eleanor and Isabelle.
