We are delighted to be working with a group of Easton College Land & Wildlife students who are helping us develop plans for a new memorial garden and biodiverse green space on our site.
As part of the project, the students recently undertook an initial visit to carry out an ecological survey. During their time on site, they recorded existing plant species, wildlife habitats and key site features. This important groundwork will help inform plans to enhance biodiversity, create new habitats and ensure the space supports local wildlife for years to come.
The survey findings will now be used to develop proposals for the area, balancing the creation of a peaceful memorial garden with measures to encourage a richer and more diverse natural environment.
The students will return in September to begin the next phase of the project, when work will start on transforming the site into a welcoming space for reflection, nature and community engagement.
