You’re usually more likely to find the team at ATI Tank Hire cleaning out storage tanks than washing up mixing bowls but Red Nose Day has inspired them to get baking.
And after six cake sales, they’ve gained pounds in more ways than one, raising more than £201.00 for Comic Relief. Staff and their families have cooked up a mouth-watering range of tasty treats, with lemon drizzle cake, chocolate brownies, cupcakes, carrot cake, Bakewell tart, Victoria sponge and even sausage rolls tempting the team and customers alike to indulge for a good cause.
ATI’s Operations Manager Justin Faraday-Drake said: ‘Every year we all watch the devastating reality of life in Uganda and are thankful for our lot and then forget about it until next time. This year, we wanted to do more to support Red Nose Day and came up with the idea of bake sales.’
Justin added: ‘We will be visiting local businesses too, so help us raise money for life-saving equipment and resources – wear a red nose and buy a cake.’
