ATI Tank Hire Ltd is hitting the big time – with two 19,000 litre chemical storage tanks now available for use by the offshore oil and gas industries.
At 25 tonnes when full and 6 metres long, they are the largest on the market and are among the few offshore chemical storage tanks of this capacity in the UK.
Designed by Suretank for the safe transportation and storage of hazardous chemicals, and to withstand the harsh conditions of the North Sea, the steel tanks meet all industry standards, are T7 certified and are inspected in accordance with DNV 2.7-1. Containers designed and certified according to this standard are strong enough to withstand the normal forces encountered in offshore operations, and not fail even if they are subjected to more extreme loads.
Our tanks are certified to lift full and come with a number of features, including 4″ fill line that doubles as a recirculation line to keep products agitated, a 4″ discharge line with valve nipple, cap and sample point, 6″ ASA150 discharge point, 2½” pressure/vacuum relief valve, 1½” extended airline, bayham-style float gauge, lifting strops and shackles.
The tanks will be based at our new Laurencekirk depot in Aberdeenshire for easy access to the North Sea platforms.
Operations Manager Justin Faraday-Drake, said: ‘These tanks extend the scope of our offshore services by providing the best solution for large-scale offshore chemical storage. They are another example of our commitment to providing tanks that meet our customers’ operational and health and safety requirements.’
